I have done text collages for a very long time and shown them in most of my exhibitions in various iterations alongside my other work. Paintings, collage, books or traced in wet oil paint. I collect words from our shared cultural everyday environment, all things strange and unfamiliar, humorous and absurd, esp. the misunderstood and misread. I string those finds together into a new syntax however nonsensical, yet always with a glimmer of something else, at times something bigger, always an evocation.
